About KwaZulu Natal (KZN)
"SOUTH COAST" South Africa

KZN is situated on the East Coast of South Africa, and made up of the "SOUTH COAST", North Coast, Drakensberg and Durban central. Our area, the SOUTH COAST is hot and humid most of the year but totally malaria free.
The ideal area to make your "home base" whilst touring our beautiful country, with an abundance of competively priced accommodation and accessibility to the Southern Drakensberg, Durban and The Wild Coast (Transkei).
The warm Indian Ocean adjoins our province (Kingdom Of The Zulu)

The climate is subtropical, hot and humid from September to April + 22 °C, May to June +/- 15 °C (lovely weather, no humidity) June to July +/- 13 °C (not cold - no chill factor). Whale, dolphin and sardine season is a great attraction during this period.

Rainfall is mainly in peak summer months, December, January and February but is generally sporadic. The golden sandy beaches are ideal for surfing especially when the "South West" blows. Under the beautiful Africa skies lush green bush spreads across the hills of Southern KZN and the entire SOUTH COAST and beach fronts. Bird life is abundant, and within two hours of the rugged coastline you can be hiking in the Southern Drakensberg admiring bushman paintings or just relaxing and enjoying a freshly caught trout. Of course the diverse cultures of the different people that make up South Africa is of interest to all, whether they can be understood or not makes it more interesting.

Come on - see for yourself from lush green bushy beaches to snow on the Majestic Mountain Ranges, from the huge forests of our land to the arid deserts to the Game Parks.
South Africa is truly a world in one country.
Enjoy it, and hope to see you soon.
